This
conference
will
be
the
third
of
our
bi-annual
conferences
promoting AAC
in
South
and
Latin
America.
It
will
take
place
in
the
enchanting
city
of
Cusco,
Peru
and
will
feature
an
AAC
courses presented by North and South American professionals, as well
as presentations and posters from around Peru and the region. Once
again, we hope to have with us, as keynote speakers, one or more
adult-AAC

who
will
offer
their
perspectives
on
the
importance
and
use
of AAC
in
everyday
life. We will also offer complimentary information on assistive
technology and seating and positioning for augmentative
communication and other needs.
Check out the
conference web site (in
Spanish) for more information.
Our
first
AAC conference
took
place
May
26-30,
2003,
in
conjunction
with
a
multidisciplinary
conference
on
Rehabilitation
and
Developmental
Disabilities (also organized by Equip KIDS).
Our second conference took place November 4th-8th, 2005 and was bigger
and better than the first. We have great expectations for this, our
third conference. We
would
like
to
thank
all
of
the
speakers,
volunteers
and
participants
who
made each these
conferences
such
a
success.
