International's III International
Conference
on
Augmentative
and
Alternative
Communication (AAC)- Latin America is set to take place August 21-25,
2007, in Cusco, Peru. With speakers and participants coming from
around North, South and Central America, this will surely be an
exciting event. Our goal is to promote knowledge and skills
related to AAC, as well as to motivate parents and professionals
to improve services and conditions for children with
disabilities and to help them claim their rights. With a new and
bigger venue, we will be able to host more presentations and
workshops this year, as well as more participants and speakers.
Here is a wonderful
and exciting opportunity to travel to Peru and hike the Inca
Trail to Machu Picchu. Take part in a 9 day all-inclusive trip
through Peru, learning about the culture, food and music and
discovering amazing Incan ruins and colonial architecture. Hike
the infamous Inca Trail through rugged mountain terrain and
lush, tropical forest eventually arriving at Machu Picchu in

support for Equip KIDS International and our students in Cusco

All
of
the
funds
you
raise
will
go
directly
to
supporting
the
well-being
and
development
of
children
with
special
needs. There

for
those

raise
the

an

collecting
system.
Last year we raised almost $3000 at the race, and this year we
hope to double that!

In March, 2007, we
will once again be teaming up with Eleanore's project and Hope
Haven International Ministries to bring wheelchairs and other
assistive devices to children in need in Cusco and Arequipa,
Peru.
